Telehandler Operator Training
Telehandler training for operators of telescopic handlers in construction and industrial environments. This program is delivered in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and Ontario Regulation 213/91, including Section 96(1) (competent worker requirement), and applicable provisions under Sections 93–102 for safe operation of mobile equipment on construction projects.

Training Overview
This program prepares workers for the safe operation of telehandlers in real job site conditions. Participants gain the knowledge and practical skills required to safely handle loads, navigate terrain, and operate equipment within defined safety parameters.
What You Will Learn
- Safe operation of telehandlers and telescopic handlers

Responsibility and Safe Operation
Participants are trained to:
- Perform proper pre-use inspections before operating equipment
- Identify unsafe conditions and take corrective action
- Operate within manufacturer limits and job site requirements
- Maintain awareness of surrounding hazards and site conditions
Practical Competency
Training includes both theoretical instruction and hands-on practical evaluation.
Participants must demonstrate:
- Safe telehandler operation
- Proper load handling and positioning
- Correct inspection and setup procedures
- Ability to identify hazards and apply corrective measures
Certification
Upon successful completion, participants receive certification confirming that their training aligns with:
- Ontario Regulation 213/91 (Construction Projects)
- Section 96(1) (competent worker requirement)
- Applicable provisions under Sections 93–102 (mobile equipment operation)
- General equipment safety requirements under OHSA
