Boom Lift and Scissor Lift Training
Boom lift and scissor lift training for operators of elevating work platforms in Ontario. This program is delivered in accordance with Ontario Regulation 213/91, including Section 147 (training requirement), Section 96(1) (competent worker requirement), and applicable provisions under Sections 144–149 for safe use, inspection, and operation of elevating work platforms.
Training is available at our Toronto training center and on-site across Ontario.

Training Overview
Our Elevating Work Platform Training program prepares workers for the safe operation of boom lifts, scissor lifts, and aerial work platforms in construction and industrial environments.
Participants gain the knowledge and practical skills required to safely operate equipment in real job site conditions.
What You Will Learn

Responsibility and Safe Operation
Participants are trained to identify unsafe conditions and perform required inspections prior to operation.
This includes recognizing when equipment must not be used and taking appropriate corrective action to ensure safe operation.
Practical Competency
Training includes both theoretical instruction and hands-on practical evaluation.
Participants must demonstrate:
- Safe operation of elevating work platforms
- Proper inspection and setup procedures
- Ability to identify hazards and apply corrective measures
This ensures workers are trained and competent before operating equipment.
Certification
Upon successful completion, participants receive certification confirming that their training aligns with:
- Ontario Regulation 213/91 (Construction Projects)
- Section 147 (training requirement)
- Section 96(1) (competent worker requirement)
- Applicable provisions under Sections 144–149 (safe operation and use)
- Ontario Regulation 851 (Industrial Establishments), Section 51
